Sharing with Family and Friends

I created this account a few months ago and haven't shared it with anyone yet. Now that we are about to enter our third trimester this weekend, I thought it would be a good time to start blogging on a regular basis. Here's a little recap of the pregnancy:

September 13th
This is the day we told our parents they are going to be grandparents. We scheduled this occassion so that it would land on Grandparents Day!! There was lots of joy, excitement, hugs, and tears!! We made them keep the secret from family until we were further along. I don't think it was very easy for them. Thanks Grandparents for your cooperation!

September 14th
Our first doctor's visit. Seeing our little peanut on the screen was neat, but at 7 1/2 weeks it's so small that you're really not sure what to look at. Now hearing the heartbeat... that was pretty stinkin' amazing!! Who would have thought such a strong beat would come from something that small?! The baby's official due date is May 1st, 2010. Our doctor is really nice and the hospital we are going to deliver at is beautiful.

December 8th
It's a ... baby. We had a sonogram done and got to see our baby looking a lot more like a baby. It's so neat how you can see hands, feet, fingers and toes. It's also a little creepy looking at you skinny baby's face! The technician was able to tell if it was a boy or a girl, but we had her write it down in a card to open up on Christmas day. Hey, it was Jon's idea! I just don't think he thought I would take him up on it. 2 1/2 weeks of waiting now.

December 25th
Merry Christmas to us. We're having a girl!! I had NO idea or feeling of what we were going to have, but Jon thought it was a girl all along. He's so smart. He's going to be such a great dad... and she's going to have him wrapped around his little finger!

We are so excited to meet our sweet little girl in May, but still have so much to do to prepare for her arrival. It feels like a long time away, but I know it's going to come up on us fast. I'm also really excited to be pregnant with 2 of my nearest, dearest, best friends!! One is due a few days after us, and the other in July. How fun is that?! They can all be best friends from the day they are born!
